It's like something straight outta "The Blair Witch Project" movie. Come and discover a creepy, deserted house deep in the backwoods at Bachelors Grove and find hand-prints on the wall that are reminiscent to the ones seen in the 'Blair Witch' film. This house was found in the woods next to Bachelors Grove Cemetery in Midolthian, IL The area near the water was founded around 1864 and became a booming lumber town around 1874. As with most other lumber towns, once the trees were all cut, the businesses were cut as well. But Bachelors Grove managed to survive and now the lumber factories aer gone but the cemetery and the old house that appears in the woods are still seen by many. There is a mysterious side to the area as well, with undiscovered Native American burial grounds and local stories about ghosts. Bachelors grove is open to the public during the day light hours. Motorists passing through the Wilmington, Illinois were looking for the landmark called the "Launching Pad" located on the main entrance into the city of Wilmington, IL on Rt 53. More people now are keeping an eye out for Sasquatch as the famed creature was reportedly spotted twice in the area over the last week taking water near the old dam on the Wilmington Island Park District. Several people spotted something moving around the bank of the river during a pony League baseball game.  According to an eyewitness the legendary creature, witnessed two alleged encounters that occurred on Monday, May 20th as Marc Jones was driving down highway 53 heading toward Wilmington, IL just past the Launching Pad restaurant and noticed a very dark, 7-8’ tall, hairy, two-legged creature with a large head. The oddity disappeared into a nearby patch of woods and the driver quickly pulled over in the hopes that the possible Sasquatch would emerge from the forest, but it never did. Not
